1994 pickup 22re minimal power till 3300 rpm
So I have a 94 pickup 22re with 300000 miles on everything but the engine. The engines about 94000. I have minimal amounts of power until about 3300 rpm. What are some things that could cause this type of problem?
Its torn open at the intake right now waiting on some lce fuel injectors to get here and the intake was quite nasty. I had slot of oil accumulated in it. The pcv wasn't letting the oil in though it was the front hose by the TV. I might add this problem has always been there but it did seem to get worse after I installed a Northwest OffIce header about 120000 miles ago.
One more question, what does a clogged cat do?

A clogged cat will choke the engine since exhaust gases can't readily escape. Exhaust temps build and next thing you know you've burned a valve or warped something. Depends on how clogged it is, though. If it's not too bad, the engine performance just suffers.

There's a number of possibilities for the problem you're having. Get the engine back together with a clean PCV valve, check the cat, and see where you're at. <<that rhymed!
