1990 22re pickup 2wd problem
I have a an old 1990 toyota 2wd pickup 22re without Anti Lock Brakes. My yota runs great. I do have one issue though, when I am pressing the brake to stop my engine revs itself, almost like it bogs down and then corrects itself. Like "vvvvv .... vvvvv.... vvvv...vvvv.....vvvvv" if that description makes any sense.
Also, on a different subject, I just started hearing a noise coming from what sounds to be one of the pulleys on the belt system. To describe that noise it sounds like sand in the bearings. What is the best way to troubleshoot which pulley it is? Over all the engine is noisy and it is hard to tell which one it is.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Engine surging when brakes applied is usually from too high a idle rpm.
Could be simply mis adjusted or vacuum leak.
How many can belts are on the truck? Could remove one at a time to see which accessory is the fault.
