1990 22RE Motor Mount

I need a new motor mount on the intake side of the motor, which is on the left when you are looking down into it obviously. I went to my local auto parts store today and the only mount they have listed is the left side motor mount.

The guy didn't know which side it was supposed to go on and was really no help at all. Any ideas which side is considered the left?

As long as you put the rubber the same way as the one you pull out and set the nipple correctly as in the way the old one comes out it should be fine.

I just replaced both of mine and there were no special markings for one side or the other , just when I pulled the top metal plate off the top I made sure the new rubber was set in the same way as the old coming out.

Parts are determined left or right as if you were seated in the drivers seat. Left is drivers side, and right is passenger side. I dont know of any difference in the left or right mounts, never looke dat them.

So you bought those through JT Outfitters and it went smoothly? I have read nothing but bad things about them on the Land Cruiser boards. I was thinking about going with them as it looks like a good deal.

It just seems that alot of people are complaining about being ripped off.

This is hardly the place for a discussion about how the government is already taking control of the corporations, AIG, GM, Chrysler, pharmaceuticals, etc. and using our money to do it.

Replaced the motor mount on the intake side and it is much more solid. That was a BITCH! I'm gonna do the other side when my Bilsteins come in this week. The transmission shifts much more smoothly now. The truck seems much more solid when driving it.
