does anyone out there know if the 1990 4runner interior door panels (manual windows/locks) are compatible with the 1989?

I agree, but by going only on pics of 90' panels they sure look deadon to my 89's

you have a 1st Gen 4runner, 90's are 2nd gen...but you can check out the
clasifieds and buy some off a 2nd gen 4runner

2nd gen was also produced in 89 , question is do you have a 1st gen model or second gen?

Its defin. a 1st generation (pop off top).

If the Junk Yard has both gens then if I were you I would try to see if the door panels swap there and then you will know without spending any money. I'm looking at making my own with some quality threads and such.
