1988 22re efi truck 5" on 33" no power and running rich
I have a 1988 22re efi. I got it at 211000 miles and it was running really rich. And the head was cracked in between all the water gates and between the lands on the deck. So I rebuilt the whole motor new lower end and new head. Back together and running the same way. I think its the afm CSI tps or the coolant temp censor or the o2. I haven't checked any on the ohms or voltage but the flapper in the AFM works correspondingly with the motor. I unplugged the o2 and it runs worse unplugged the tps and it won't run at all as well as the afm. It idles decently while cold but when motor at operating temps it has no guts on the road ( lucky to hit 35mph) with the petal all the way to the floor it backfires from to much unburnt gas and moderate to normal accel it spits and sputters. Very lite accel is the only way to go anywhere. Its driving me crazy any help is much appreciated.
