1987 Toyota Pickup. Questions.

Hey guys, just had a few questions for you. I noticed my power steering pump is leaking, so obviously I need a new one. So I got my buddy to price one out for me, since he works at a parts store. He said it could cost me up to $200, or over. Then he also said I need to know my engine number. I'm not sure what the engine number is, other than having a 22R. I looked under the hood for anything that I could find. But had no luck. I also have another leak..my clutch pedal is looking inside of my truck, and I'm not sure how to fix that. My buddy said his mechanic noticed the same problem in his Toyota Pickup, his is an 1986 and just put something into the liquid to make it thicker. Not sure if the same thing would help. I'm also putting in a Roll bar, and was just curious if anyone knew how to put one in. I don't plan on doing it myself because I have no idea how or where to even begin, but I have a friend who could do it. Any answers would be appreciated, thanks.

Your friend is an idiot ....

your clutch master cylinder is leaking inside of your truck .. replace it .. $20-$30 for new one. Thicker fluid is only going to make it worse...

$85.99 new p/s pump from autozone

You can also find the parts used for cheap as well. $200 for a 22R PS pump is stupid. I have them in stock here for $75 for one with 42k original miles.

I'm in Lynnwood too I'm sure you have heard of Nix99?

I wonder if their pump has 42k original miles........

Btw, that guy that died was killed because he tried to use a scissor jack on a 2500 Suburban. well DUH idiot, of course it collapsed on you! FWIW, the news stories are totally incorrect and of course hyped up to make the wrecking yard (and all of us yards in general) look bad. The guy in the yard was NOT authorized to be in the yard jacking on vehicles, and he got his darwin award.

Funny thing about BEST is i've only been their once .... and im 2 blocks from them

do they even allow people to go in back? I walked in needed a part and they told me to go find it and pointed towards the back. so I walked through some crazy doors trying to find the yard, and almost got ran over by forklift twice....

Tons of c4c cars there.

We own a towing company and just certified as dismantlers about a month ago, woot...

So why do you work in my town and never say hi dammit ....
