1987 gas flap cable routing

Silly question but....

Can someone please show a pick of how the gas flap cable enters through to the interior. My key lock is missing the key, so I am trying to add the cable but I don't see how it is routed. I assume it just sits under the carpet once inside.

If you have a pic can you email it to jamielamb545@yahoo.ca

Thanks

I have a 90 model and the best I can tell it's under the carpet all the way to the rear where it disappears into the wall on the pass. side rear and goes to the latch.

PS I didn't take my interior out to get you that info.Mostly just guessing.

i only kno this becuz i cut mine out it was in the way. lol.

(its also buried under a couple inches of tar)

Missing the key lock? If the flap is missing the key lock, what's keeping the flap closed?
On mine, the key goes through the flap and turns a cam that is attached to the lock.
so no lock... no cam... flap is permanently open

currently just flapping in the wind. The key is missing so the lock is not installed.

Along with the cable you'll need a different lock assembly. The ones that came on trucks with a gas door cable are different then the normal ones.
