Anyone know, or tried to put one of these (http://www.jcwhitney.com/dorman-oe-r...c2070d2183u0j1) into the stock fuel tank with any success? My current fuel pickup has the lines completely rusted off it all the way to the top of it where its screwed into the tank, so i have nothing to connect to fuel lines to.

I'm having an extremely hard time finding the part number for a new one or finding one in a local junkyard. My tank is still good. looks new inside so i hate to scrap it. My truck has the mechanical fuel pump on a 22r motor if that makes a difference. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Perhaps you can get a good used one from in the Southwest or other area with no salt and rust.

Depending on your skill level you should be able to get the Dorman one to work.

Do they make one for a Toyota I doubt the fuel gauges are the same.

I am guessing this part might be discontinued from Toyota but it can`t hurt to try.

Just had mine repaired for the same reason at a radiator shop.

Thanks for the replies. The toyota parts zone looks like they might have it but i have no idea what the part number or the correct name for those certain parts are and they have no pics or diagrams for the parts they list. Might have to make a call to my local toyota dealer which the last time i tried, i knew more about the truck then they did. Very disappointing.

They used to have the parts fiche attached to each page but not any more. Toyota Parts East does have both.

Input your VIN and go from there. Be aware the there are two different fuel sending units. One for the short bed (6 foot) and one for the long bed (7 foot). Well, I should say on the 2WDs there are two different part numbers. Just put in your VIN and it will bring up the right parts for your vehicle.

Awesome man, thanks a bunch found the parts that i needed and was cheaper than i thought it would be. Get my rusty beast back on the road and ready for this winter! Now just to find a decent bed that doesn't cost more than i paid for the truck, so i don't have to do the ole redneck pressure treated option

it seems they dont sell the part anymore.. Unless I'm missing something. Mine is the exact same way and the only thing I can find is that Universal Dorman one. I really dont want to go that route but if i have to I will. Any Suggestions?

Toyotapartseast has the part kinda pricey but they have the part for my 86 truck. part # 23206-35120 I just did mine

Dude Thanks a lot. Hey i got three lines coming out of my stock one though. One goes to my fuel filter. How does that work?

Also i noticed you have the electric fuel pump. Mine is a Manual. And i have a diferent tank. 77203-35260 thats the vin for the one im supposed to have

Yeah I just gotta find one of those. All the Junkyards around here dont have any of the Toyota pickups or 4runners. Im wondering if i should just try the universal one.. Here is a picture of the one i have now. The lines are shot
