1 peice factory rear CV shaft???
Does anyone know which Toyota vehicles came with a 1 piece CV rear driveshaft? I’ve seen extra-cab trucks with 2 piece CV rears and I’ve seen a lot with CV fronts.
A couple years ago I picked up at 1 piece CV rear shaft at a salvage yard for free but I do not know what it came off of. I wanted to use it in the rear of my 4runner but the bolt pattern on the CV end is too large. I currently have a triple-drilled marlin flange. I also compared it to front output flanges and they are too small also.
Thanks
Chris

Not sure what you're asking here. No Toyota truck or 4x4 (AWD excluded) has ever (and hopefully will never) come with independent rear suspension.
Are you planning on converting to independent rear suspension for some kind of desert pre-runner?

The rear part of the Tacoma or Tundra shaft is what you are after. They will bolt directly to the older trucks. The Tacoma shaft will need to be lengthened and the Tundra is pretty long but I don't think it's long enough. Also some driveline shops can't deal with the fused Tundra shaft, the Tacoma's are still welded.

Thanks for the replies.
Does anyone else know what model and year of any Toyota 4wheel drives that game with a 1 piece CV rear driveshaft?
I have 6 Toyota CV drive shafts that are different. 5 are fronts and 1 is a rear. I know what the fronts came off of and I am trying to figure out what the rear came off of. The junk yard wrote 4runner on it.
Thanks

The '96-'03 4x4 automatic 4runners had the REAR double cardan joint drive shaft. Which a dead give away is the larger studs and pattern on the dc joint end and the smaller studs and pattern on the slipe yoke end.
I've gone through all this with my LC.
