Yes it works, I found out about this "FJ Rear Coil-spring lift for the rear of a 4Runner" trick from someone who used to visit this site and lives nearby.
It will net you about a 2-1/2" lift. Be sure to fab/get a taller LSPV bracket to set the brake pressure back to spec and pick up some SDORI ball joint spacers to make the lift nice and effective.

Also consider that although a panhard drop bracket isn't needed, you might want an adjustable panhard as it does move it over 1/4-1/2". The only way to align it without an adjustable one is to lean heavily into the right rear panel/bumper and shove everything into alignment, putting stress on everything.

We just had ours cut and spliced with a piece of DOM tubing to make things work (cheaper than an adjustable one.) If you need any tips let me know as I'm not sure it's OK or not to post his stuff up in here. *There's a writeup and pics for the job.*

wow, i was going through my subscribed threads and realized that i never read this reply.

this would have been amazing as the coils were cheap.

thanks very much KelleyC. it is greatly appreciated.

p.s. i ended up going the 2.5" coil spacer for now while i save up for new gears and bigger tires for the high lift.

cheers

i love yotatech!
