Tacoma or IFS brake upgrade
I can find threads on both, but not a comparison. I have done the IFS brake upgrade and replaced the Master and booster too. However, the Tacoma/3rd gen 4runner is appealing for ease of birfield removal and running IFS hubs. I like the IFS hub bodies because that will allow me to use 3rd gen wheels that will currently not slide over the SA hubs.
So...anyone had both? good , bad, the ugly? The Tacoma brackets are $99.

Brake Pads?
I get the FJ60 rotors as a replacement for the stock 1985 4Runner as they are the same overall width from font face to back face but thicker vented rotor surface. If you use the 90's 4 Runner calipers with these rotors what brake pads do you use? Stock 1985 4 Runner? 90's 4Runner? FJ60?

Drill out the ears and mount the caliper on the other side, no bracket required.
Breaking power between the two will be very similar, probably un noticeable. They both use the same caliper (unless your switching to taco/tundra calipers) Just one rotor it a hair wider.
