Tach signal

My tach in my 85 22re is jumpy. I want to put a aftermarket tach on it but I am not sure where to put the tach signal wire at. any ideas? and plz don't say positive side of coil, old school joke.

If 85 is the same as 86 it should be the black wire coming out of the igniter

85 FSM tells me it is that wire also goes to other things so don`t just cut the wire .

You might try running a wire from the Negative side of the coil to the "p" on the back of the cluster and see if that helps. >>>>>> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116.../#post52299421
