Nearing the end on '85 4Runner build
Hiyas guys. I didn't see the "introductions" forum, if I missed it, mods can move this thread.
Here's my page describing the work done so far. I still have a little fender trimming to do, change the pitman arm, install some bumpstops, spray rear bed and inner fenders with bedliner.... that kinda stuff, you know how it goes. Oh, some more waterproofing, maybe a snorkle. That should be about it.
Nice to meet y'alls!
Here's the LINKY

finally got to look over that page, and I have to say that truck is beautiful. Good job on it, not sure I like the color but of course, its a personal preferance. I am hoping to get the build on my truck going over the winter...
Great work!

Thanks man! Yeah, the green is certainly brighter than I anticipated. Really, not many people like the color. It might just evolve into a camo truck. Except, I don't hunt. Hmmm.
It is a flat, very durable paint, that's about the only thing good about the paint.

UPDATE:
Trimmed 2" off front fenders and duplicolor'd the bottom third
Neither the trimming nor the Duplicolor came out perfect. Of course, it's not a perfect truck and I do anticpate crashing it into alot of trees. However, this is as good as it gets, it won't ever look better than this I think. Well, actually, I'm going to repaint a couple of angles (you can see a couple aren't following the body lines properly), so it might look better than.
Still, the trimming and the duplicolor was only about a 6 hour job, so I'm not too put out (yes, sanded and cleaned with acetone before painting).

I guess I'll have to pass on that trade - not because your 4runner isn't better than mine, it's just that I feel attached to this one after putting so much work into it.
