Instrument cluster with tach

Did 84-85 trucks ever have an instrument cluster with a tach? I'd really like to have one, plus the ones I've seen (I think they were for 86+) had gauges instead of dummy lights for the oil pressure and other things.

I don't want to hang aftermarket gauges or tach under the dash.

I think they did but cant say for sure. I put one in my 85. There is a 110 mph and a 85 mph cluster. If I recall correctly the 110 was 15 miles per hour off so I had to use an 85 mph cluster.

The gauge cluster with tach etc. was an SR-5 feature. I've had both '84 and '85 trucks, one SR-5 and the other not. The SR-5 '85 had the tach cluster, and EFI. I believe you can retrofit the tach cluster to any of these trucks.

Thanks for the replies! I'll keep my eye out for one. I know I'd have to change the oil sender and what not.

I wonder what years are compatible? Just 84-85 or up to 88?

Thanks!

I'm not sure. I know 84-85 would be perfect. But at the same time I think size wise through 88 souls fit and wire up just the same

Size wise they are the same, and it doesn't make sense that they'd change the wiring so they probably are the same.

Thanks!

Anyone have one they want to part with? I'll probably ask in the WTB section as well.
