87 22r engine harness with a 22r motor 89 to early 90s carb

My truck is a 84 but it had a 87 block. But I blew it up. Im wondering if my 87 22r engine harness will work with a 22r motor 89 to early 90s carb
Will these work together? Do I have to have the engine harness from the same motor and have the same ecu or can I use a my 87 22r ecu with and my harness with any 22r motor? Thank you for your time. If you want my numbers 7753517569
