I have 2 inch blocks. Haveanybody heard of putting them up front on a 85 pickup. What is the cons of doing this? Is their a problem to doing this?

85 front is leaf spring?

Front blocks can get "spit out" leading to total loss of steering.
Not advised....

Often used by certian types (say Pirate4x4) to ID a truck to laugh and point at

Just get some shackles for the front. blocks are never a good idea.

Front blocks are usually illegal in most states due to the safety aspects mentioned above. On top of that, there is no way for the stock steering to clear the blocks up front. You can maybe add a 1/4" thick leaf to the front spring pack before the draglink starts hitting the u-bolts.

Runs your blocks or whatever in the rear and buy 2 OME leaf packs for the front.its only about 200 bucks for 2 packs shipped and they give you about 2.5 inches of lift

shackles and add-a-leafs are the way to go, but you can get away with high steer and blocks, I've seen it done. Not sure about the legality. If you mash it, prolley don't do it. i agree with shackles and leaf packs.
