Just looking to make sure I don't screw this up. Looking for the correct 5-speed manual transmission to replace the currently worn out one. RWD 22r naturally aspirated gasoline engine. Any help or clues as to how to determine which transmission I need without actually removing the one I've got.

There should be some sort of ID on the trans or a tag maybe which tells you which model trans you have.

either pull off the boots on top of the tunnel, or crawl under the truck and reach your hand up around the top of the trans.

there is often a number stamped on the bottom of the trans case, but it didn't add up to anything, when i replaced my trans.
