3 cores?

I just got an 85 4runner with an auto transmission. I want to switch to an external trans cooler. But when I looked at the front, I have the following stack up: radiator, evaporator, and then a mystery 3rd core on top. There is definitely no room for the B&M that I was planning to use. What is this third core for? In the pic below you can see the evap in the back and this other core in the front. It has hard lines running to the firewall and to a canister with a blue cap on it.

So, what is it?

And since I can't go with the B&M cooler, then what it a good aluminum radiator to replace my stock radiator? Trying to avoid the pink milkshake that brings all 4runners to the scrap yards. I looked at Koyo, but they only had radiators for manuals, no trans oil cooler hook ups.

Digging around a little bit, it looks like the thing in the back is the condenser and the canister is the dryer. But I still dont get what the outer coils are for? I need to go chase the lines and see where is goes.

I'd still love to hear recommended parts numbers for aluminum radiator replacement for 1985 4runner with internal trans oil cooler.

Thanks!
