Upgraded fuse block

I know from experience that the fuse block in these first gen trucks can sometimes be pretty bad. Mine isn't that bad, luckily, but I have seen them completely corroded to hell a few times. I think its mostly because the windows tend to leak right in the spot where they drip onto the fuse block when the trucks sit....
SO I'm curious to see if anyone out there has done something custom that is pretty cool and could be a notable upgrade for the first gen trucks electrical system. Maybe relocated it, or rewired it with a different block..Can you switch them over to blade style fuses? That sort of thing.
The best I've done is sanded mine down and spritzed it with a bit of anti-corrosion stuff you put on battery terminals, and that's been pretty good.
