Like 83 says, it's really straight forward. If you line up the brackets on the face of the radiator core support, the holes will pretty much line right up, they're at opposing angles from the square headlight brackets.

Quick Question, with square headlights, are the 4x4 front grills and 2x4 grills interchangeable?
to they look to be but i don't have the grills to compare right now and being careful to not buy something that wont fit

Throw in some Round Eyes and a set of signal lamps underneath the running light sockets and it's pretty much the best easy way to upgrade visibility and keep your rig looking pretty!

My one regret is that I used whatever bolts and nuts I'd had in my spares to mount up the buckets, so pulling them off to paint my rig was a pain in the arse. Next time around it'll be M10 stainless and nylocks all the way around. "Do it right the first time" as has been said.

when I went from round to rectangular headlights it was just a lot of placing it, measure, drill & tighten

Does anyone here know where I can find the 79-81 round headlight buckets? I love the round headlights but couldn't find a good round hl truck. I need the buckets and bumper and I can start my swap. Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Thanks

I saw some buckets on ebay but I was not sure they were the correct ones. Are they shipped from Thailand? This is the item number that I saw on ebay, 281775021631. If this is not the correct part, could you please post the number for the correct part?
Thank You

I'm sure glad to have a factory 81 with the rounds.. :-)
I know there are a few places here that still have the 1st gen parts. Wasn't to hard to find the factory parts needed here in town
t Glad to have a 1st gen ;-)
