When posting new ads in the classified sections, please post the vehicle year or year range and the vehicle model in the title instead of just the generation. The problem that we are having is that when a thread is titled using just the vehicle generation it could mislead readers and cause confusion since there are several different models with different generation year ranges. We want you to be able to quickly and efficiently buy or sell your parts and/or vehicles so this ultimately affects you.

Here are some current examples of bad thread titles:
A/C system for 2nd Gen
Is this for a 2nd Gen Pickup or a 2nd Gen 4Runner?

1st gen column shroud/headlight holder
Is this for a 1st Gen Pickup or a 1st Gen 4Runner - two very different animals here.

The above threads would be more appropriately titled:
A/C system for 1989-1995 4Runner
1979-1983 Pickup column shroud/headlight holder

We are not going to go back through older threads and correct these issues, but for future new threads we would like members to be more specific in model and year or year ranges to reduce any confusion and enhance the overall function of the Classified forums. Just remember that there are other models out there so "1st Gen" may mean something completely different to somebody else. Then there are some people who have now idea what the generations are. Mistakes happen so if you post something without using the appropriate format a Moderator may ask you to edit the title for clarity.
