So after years of driving this daily, I walked out to head to work and saw the gear oil puddle under the rear pass tire. Since that morning it has only been driven to the gas station down the street to fuel up once, around the block every couple weeks, and backed out of the garage. Right before the axle seal leaked the CEL came on and code was run indicating heated O2 sensor needed replacing. (Since replaced battery & no CEL). The O2 sensor was corroded on so I purchased a whole new Bosal exhaust, gaskets, hangers, and Denso O2 sensor. Before I had it installed the rear axle seal leaked. I did not register it last year because it needed the O2 sensor replaced to pass state inspection and the axle seal became #1 priority.

So fast forward to today, I have yet to start rehabbing the 4Runner, my money is tied up in other things, and we no longer have the space for this project to sit and wait. Very sad to see it go as it has been a reliable workhorse for many years. Needs to have someone complete the project and get this back on the road and the trail.

Has over $3500+ of accessories and is a solid car. We have loved the 3rd Gen.

Thanks for looking. I hope she finds a very nice loving home. Still 100% drivable, all electronics work. Only one spot of body rust on pass rear wheel well. Frame in fairly good condition for age, not rusted out.

Quick ? , if I wanted to drive 500 miles. Would the leak stop that .

Could u drive and replace the oil as it leaks out?

New to this vehicle , but not to fixin whats broke.
