I got their model with tack and digital advance/retard at the push of a button. I was skeptical at first because of the name but I actually like it. No tach on the truck so this helps out a lot. It even has a flashlight mode. It was about $90 though for this one.

I'm going all over this forum reviving things
So, I'm getting a timing light and doing this myself..
I found a simple light, no advance anything.. but from what I understand the pulley has the markings on it that I can use to advance or retard the timing... Is this correct? Am I correct in saying that i DON'T need a fancy light with advance options?
Thanks !

Tach-Timing Light Combo OR Separate Basic Timing light and Tach-Dwell Analyzer?
Hi guys,
I'm debating whether to get:
Digital Combined Timing light and Tach ( ) for $78, OR
Getting basic Inductive Timing light ( ) AND Tach-Dwell analyzer ( ), Total of $58
I like the simplicity and reliability (i.e., if timing light breaks I still have the tach) of the "basic" ones, but I also like the space-saving of the combo.
Have you got first-hand experience with any of the above that I should take into consideration?
TIA

I dont have experience woth these, but wanted to share my thought. I purchased a cheapo one. 25 bucks or something. Everytime I use it I have to wrap the induction loop with alum. foil. So my advice is make sure these are properly designed and built.
