The wife, the Runner, and I took a trip through Canyonlands on the White Rim Road. We spent 3 nights on the trail and had every campsite all to ourselves. A permit is required to camp and you have to put in your request 4 months in advance.

The route:


"Shafer", the first camp site. It's about 30 miles from Moab to Shafer. We stopped in Moab, filled up the truck and gas can, then drove to Shafer.

Also White Crack. It was a scorcher. We sat under the tarp and drank Margs until the sun went down.

The Hardscrabble Camp. We did this trip May 30 - June 2 so the shade cover was really clutch. It was hot down there and not a lot of shade.

It was a 4wd mandatory trip but I spent probably 80% of it in 2wd. When I needed 4WD I really needed it though. Some of the grades are steep and loose so 4LO came in handy. Never a hiccup or an issue with the rig. I never even bumped the undercarriage. Hope you like the pics!
