[edit] FJ Cruiser specsFJ Cruiser specs featuring mechanical, performance, dimensions, safety features and much much more... PDF file [1] [edit] Getting rid of the seatbelt chimeThe seatbelt chime can be very irritating to say the least. And if you set something down on the passenger seat such as groceries or even a laptop computer, chances are the dash light will come on that says the airbag for the passenger is now armed, and also the chimes will sound letting the passenger know to buckle up. You can see why many get irritated over this feature. You can choose to just do the passenger side (driver's side will still set off the chimes), or if you use the drivers side seatbelt when following the info below instead of using the passenger side seatbelt, it will turn off both chimes. Seat belt chime 1. Turn the ignition switch on (without starting the rig) 2. Press the ODO/TRIP switch until the odometer displays "ODO" 3. Turn the ignition switch off 4. Turn the ignition switch on 5. Press ODO/TRIP switch immediately (within 6 seconds after turning the power switch ON) and hold it down for 10 seconds or more. 6. Continue holding the ODO/TRIP switch and fasten the front driver's seat belt. 7. Check that the odometer displays either "b-on" or "b-off" (it will be "b-on") 8. Press the ODO/TRIP button to change the display to "b-off". 9. Turn the ignition switch off. 10. Turn the ignition switch on while depressing the brake pedal. 11. Check that no buzzer sounds when sitting on the front passenger or drivers seat. [edit] FJ Cruiser aftermarket front bumpersAll-Pro Off-Road This FJ Cruiser belongs to YotaTech member WillsFJC. [edit] FJ Cruiser aftermarket rock sliderzIf you are going to be doing any off roading, do yourself a favor and loose the factory running boards. They will bend on you like a pretzel, and they offer no protection from rocks, logs, and other obstacles that you may encounter on the trail. All aftermarket sliderz are bolt on, so there is no need to go with ones you need to weld on. You could, but why? The FJ Cruiser is already drilled and tapped with eight holes per side, and the sliderz just bolt up like the Toyota factory ones that are optional. Most aftermarket sliderz by the way stick out a lot further than the factory ones, thus giving you much more protection. All-Pro Off-Road

[edit] How to mount a CB antennaA very talented guy who goes by the username of Bandi on a big FJ Cruiser forum invented an antenna mount for the rear of the FJ Cruiser that replaces a plastic piece. Total installation is less than 5 minutes, and a piece of cake to install. You simply open up the rear door and push out the plastic piece by hand. Then push the new mount into place and put on the acorn nut provided and tighten it up. Bandi sold the rights to All-Pro Off-Road, and it can now be purchased directly through them. [2] This really is a very easy way to mount your antenna unless you have made the jump to an aftermarket front bumper which often come with holes pre-drilled in them to mount a CB antenna.
