I saw an older post that said you have a first gen with smittybilt nerf bars. I just recently bought some without hardware and without instructions. This set was made to fit a truck with a body lift.

I see where you said they bolt to the leaf spring purchase of the back springs but I am not sure where they mount in the front. It looks like they might mount to the "Fin" or side of the body mount bracket after drilling a hole into it? My bars have a Vertical mounting plate welded on the front of the nerf bar. and not the horizontal plate that I've seen on other bars that mount to the crossmember.

A friend of mine has some smittybilt nerf bars made for No body lift and his mount to the trans/xfer crossmember bolts via a horizontal mounting plate on the bars.

Not sure which kind you have but thought I'd ask before drilling more holes in my frame. Thanks if you can help, Dan
