I actually live in Edmond, Stillwater is just where my heart is.

Take your time and do it right the first time and read as much as possible. It sounds like you are taking your time if you have an ORS harness that is not installed yet. Hope Mike's guys did it right, mine had a couple problems he had to trouble shoot over the phone and tell me what wires to change around.

    Good luck

    Hey Dale,

Just about to start my 1999 3.4 (n/a) into my 1994 4Runner (standard transmission) and wondered if you had any advice? I have an ORS harness, got it right before they went under. I am down in Perkins, OK and am surprised I haven't noticed your rig in Stillwater. Very informative thread on the S/C if I ever go that route.

    Thanks for any info,

    Brett

Yeah 2.5" diameter works good for the 3.4 and some people use that on the 3.0 with headers so I'd look at replacing what you have to with 2.5". The year 5VZFE you get will determine if you need one cat or 2. Also the state you live in may matter.

Sorry to see another victim :-( Good luck.

i was wondering if you could provide me advice for an issue i have.
friday my cat was stolen from my 94 3L pickup. cut it right out.
should i just get a replacement cat or run a full exhaust? is there an exhaust pipe diameter that would work for the 3.0 now and when the 5vz goes in, adapt the exhaust to work with the headers and 3.4L? is this even feasible?
    thanks,
    aaron

Thanks, its a Superlift skid plate. But I cut the slots in it for air flow to the cooler. I also reinforced it because the slots make it weaker.

    Hey mt goat..

First let me say thanks for all the great info I've read in yota tech that you've contributed. I definitely think your advice has been spot on. :) I was just curious where you got your skid plate from? I'd like to do that on my 3rd gen. The stock skid plates leave something to be desire esp when doing an oil change. Plus yours looks cool and it's a great place to mount the trans cooler.

    Thanks,

    Rich
