This diesel needs to be geared just like the 22R or V6. I'm on 37's with 4.88's and I'd be much better off with 5.29's or 5.71's. When I had 33's and 4.88's, I was getting a consistent 19mpg in town and 22mpg highway.

Hey I was wondering some details about your OM617 swap. I'm going to be pulling my 3.4 out of my Tacoma here shortly and putting in a diesel. What kind of fuel mileage are you getting? How many miles per tank/mpg?
Would It make more sense to keep my 3.4 engine harness and use those wires, or just create a new harness?
