Hi, I recently attempted a desmog on my 1977 Toyota, and after completing everything in your write up, It will not stay started. I just am not sure what I did wrong. I am new to all of this, and not too proficient at the mechanicals of it all yet. I tried everything I could think of, like did I remove something I shouldn't? is there a vacuum leaks? just need help and would be very appreciative, as I need to move this in the next three weeks. thanks again....Mary

    Sorry for the late reply.

How2 handy are you? This swap can be accomplished, the hardest part that I found was with the regulator/alternator. Most everything else bolts right up. I certainly prefer having a 22r motor in mine, but there will be some issues converting from one wiring harness to another.
