i am having trouble with my knock sensor. are you familiar with those at all? it works then it doesnt. im wondering if the sensor is actually bad or not. it cost 300 for the sensor and gaskets to replace it so im really trying to figure it out before i do that.

Hey man whats up, I've not had a chance to check the diff out yet, I've had a pretty bad couple of weeks. I had to bury my brother last Friday before Memorial day. Had to go to Del Rio Texas to get him and his stuff. But I plan on getting back started on trying to figure out the problem. Hows your rig doing, get everything lined out that you needed.

hey, i think you misunderstood my front driveshaft turns to the diff but the axles don't turn at all and the lights don't come on so i think it's in that box

oh, and when i put it in 4 wheel drive everything gears down, front driveshaft spins but the wheels don't turn, i had a jeep comanche pickup do this once and it was the fork on the axle that busted, im wandering if i dont have the same problem

thanks for responding back, i replaced the switch when i did the rebuild, had to the old one broke, and the wire is plugged in to that box on the diff, i have power going to it, but if i pull that box off whats behind it. cause im thinkin that the fork is busted

I recently rebuilt my 3.0. it has around 4000 on it now. My knock sensor worked fine before the rebuild. When i first got the engine in i had a knock sensor code so i replaced the wire like everyone said to do. Still have a code. The weird part is that every now and then the light goes off and it runs good for a couple days. then it comes back on. could something be loose or is my sensor going in and out. i dont know much about sensors but it seems pretty odd the way it is acting. I just got done doing a complete overhaul on my 3.0. I got it running good. but then i was having an overheating problem before i could even do the break in. i replaced my thermostat, radiator cap, clutch fan, and finally got down to radiator after trial and error. my over heating has stopped. but now i am having a problem with pressure in my line. what could cause this besides a head gasket? and i might sound stupid but is it possible to put the head gaskets on wrong? or maybe upside down? or could...
