Hi, Zach, I have a '76 Chinook. I'll be yours and mine uses the same types of batteries. I can't seem to get that info from anywhere and I need to get both batteries for the rig. Can you tell me the types of your vehicle's batteries, the basic one and the auxiliary one? Thanks.

    Hi,

I just picked up a 78 chinook. Tires are being a bit of a pain. I'm looking for some winters to be able do use it a ski lodge in the winter and go through mountain passes. Any advice on what I can throw on it?
    Thanks

hey man, i having the exact same problem you had. i put my ear behind the carb, and i head a click so i guessing its good. i have to constantly keep my foot on the gas. but yesterday for some odd reason it ran like it was brand new. my BVSV broke off (near the fuel pump) id didn't know if that would have anything to do with it. i found a metal line that is on the top of the carb. if your looking down on the carb. its on top of the bottom left corner. its a metal line, the end (at the front of the carb) has i rubber hose running somewhere down in front of it. the other metal end is on the passengerside of the carb. it has nothing on it. is there suppose to be something on there?

Yes, (still have the truck, but no, it's not an '81) these are the same truck. I have an 83, but I swapped my square headlights for some round ones off an older truck (79-81).
