Hey Zuk, I just e-mailed you. I'm having some problems after a gear install and most likely looking to ship this out to you if you have time so that I can get my rig going again. Let me know if you have any advice after reading the e-mail and thread, I wish I had taken pictures though...

Absolutely.....529 is the ratio. If you ever go to 33" then 571....that's what I ran with my 22RE/auto/33" :)

    Hey ZUK-

Other YotaTechers directed me your way with regard to a specific gearing scenario. I've got a mildly built 22RE with the A44D auto tranny (.69 OD ratio). It's a 2wd, so any offroading is fire roads, etc. It's my daily driver, and has 31" tires with 4.56 gearing, I believe. According to my calcs, swapping to 5.29's seems to be the way to go, as I do a lot of highway driving with this, and the current gears don't even hold OD on mild grades. If I may ask, what would be your thoughts on this? TIA

ZUK was what my friends in 1990 "tagged' me with when I was building a brand new white 1990 Sami for a magazine cover. The name stuck and I haven't been able to shake it off....not even with antibiotics.
