I was reading your post about the issues you are having with your 4runner steering. I have the exact same thing happening to me and I was wondering if you have had any luck figuring out the problem. I am preparing to replace sway bar and steering rack bushings and lower ball joints but I have some slop in the steering column ujoint as well. Let me know if you've had any luck fixing it.
