New to Yotatech. About 3 weeks ago I bought a 1982 Toyota Hilux firstgen with a 22r engine with 170,000 miles. I drove it up from Salt Lake City to Washington and it's been running fine. My goal is to be able to work on it myself. Well I got my wish! Tonight it did this thing where it was running but then stalling while idling. If I reved the engine it wouldn't stall but approach a turn or light and it would instantly stall if I wasn't giving it constant accelleration. I can't post a threat on this site yet. Seems to me it could be a list of things...the vacuum seals, fuel filter, fuel injectors, spark plugs, or grounds. I'll just say I haven't even had a chance to really dive into the user manual and haven't had time to buy tools. I've done some work on a 1973 VW bug but just break work. It's going to be a while until I can even post on this site, but please message me or email me or something.
