Hi, I saw your post about having ECMs lying around .... I'm looking for one for an 86 22RT, 89661-35050
My Custom Cab Turbo has been dead for about 18 months now, and I just tonight tried swapping in an RE computer, and just like that, it worked. With its original ECM, it was starting and then dying a few seconds later. After checking sensors and swapping fuel pumps and installing gauges, I finally found what looks like the problem, but the truck is running rich, or for some reason blowing black smoke - I'm assuming it has something to do with using a NA ECM on a turbo motor, but maybe it's just accumulated crud, I'm not sure what the difference is in a RT ECM. ...
Anyways, if you have some matching ECMs, I'd love to get a couple shipped up here to Kodiak, Alaska. I can Paypal or whatever works for you.
