Ok then, it's back to the drawling board. I'll mock the shocks up and figure out the mounts. Thanks again!

Ultimately yes, for the short term, given easy driving, probably not. Shocks don't like bottoming or topping out that much, bottoming is the worse of the two (more weight involved).

Am I gonna damage my rear shocks if I leave them where they're at for now?

Was wonderingif you could help me out; I have an 84 truck and want to put an altenator from an 87 truck on it. Could you tell me how to wire up the 87 altenator to the 84 truck. Thanks

Roger, for many years I have silently given thanks to the many 4crawler pages I have toiled over while playing with my numerous diesel volkswagens (and one caddy!), and now, I find myself doing it all over again, but this time for my *new* 85 4Runner. I think I had the opportunity once back in the mid 90's to thank you. It's been too long.

THANK YOU ROGER for all of your efforts and willingness to share the info!

nice photo crossing that crazy crevice ... hey roger, can you take a look at my thread, i know you could probably help me out, been working on this for 6hours+ per day for a whole week:

quick review: tapping was exhaust leak, still rough idle and stalling when no gas given, all timing components redone, going to post another video in about 45 minutes:

Mis-adjusted TPS can cause unsteady idle and makes setting the timing inaccurate:

hey I have a question for you! I had some issues with pinging and cant seem to figure it out! The engine we are talking about is 22re. Witch is new with 4000 miles on it! It pings almost all the time when I get on the gas! Can you think of anything that might be going on? I will list some stuff that is new! engine, plugs, wires, cap rotor,02 sensor. I have tested the egr and it seem to be working! could a out of adjustment TPS be a cause or bad injectors? also when I tryed to check the timing it would jump around alot! Any help would be nice none of the toyota guys around here can figure it out! Thanks again
