Used system restore for the 1st time

I have to say I am very impressed. I installed PC Anywhere 11 to test a connection to a remote desktop for somebody else and when I uninstalled my video driver (ati) wouldn't load properly and after uninstalling and reinstalling with different versions of the driver it still wouldn't work.
As I was laying in bed last night I remembered about system restore and i checked it out this morning. It worked great, and probably saved me from reinstalling windows on my laptop.

A microsoft succes story, I am not usually positive about windows but this is good stuff.

Yeah, I think the restore is one of Microsofts better ideas. I have XP at work, but have not used it yet. I do however, have a "Go Back" software from Roxio installed on my machine at home. It does the same thing. I can't tell you how many times I have used it.

Restore is a lifesaver. Yeah, I could eventually find the root of the problem after hours and hours of searching and researching the fix... but Restore takes care of that in a few minutes. Definitely very handy... used it more times than I can remember.

I've always been afraid to use it....Of course I never needed too.....and I'll format and reinstall windows about once a year at the latest.....matter of fact I disabled it so I could have the hard drive space hehehe
