Shut down & restart your XP fast

When I built my new PC last August, I was buying just about every PC mag every month.

In one I learned a cool trick by making two desktop shortcuts, which you can then move down to the tray by your other shortcuts.
You can see the two shortcuts in this pic next to the "User Accounts" button in the tray.

In the shortcuts you enter code.
One is a quick way to restart your PC, the other is to shut it down.

I never use the Start button and menu to shut down, or use the shortcut "Start & U" which brings up the dialog.

These two shortcuts are way faster.
I just zipped them up, and they should work for any XP user.

Let me know if they work for you.

I close all my windows with ALT-F4, then at the desktop I hit ALT-F4 again and then 'U' for Shutdown

Works much better, and less clutter on the desktop to weed through

You are welcome.
I like these much better than keyboard shortcuts.
