Not sure about the running processes part. Theoretically, it shouldn't take up anymore RAM to have another profile because only one is used at a time. But who knows with how Windows loads crap, therefore the theoretical part.
Maybe creating a 2nd profile, going into Task Manager, selecting what you don't want running and saving the changes. Can you do that?!What setup are you running Corey? Sometimes I accidentally start a game (Call of Duty, America's Army, GTA VC) with other things like Explorer, Outlook, etc. running and don't run into any problems even then. I have an Abit AI7 mb, P4 3gHz, 1g RAM, ATI Radeon 9200 128mb.

No, Task Manager does not save, hence why I asked about the MS Config where you use checkmarks to uncheck stuff you do not want to run when booted into XP.
Setup is basicaly what is listed in my sig file below, but the page has not been updated in awhile. Now running 2 GB of RAM, and the 2.4 is OC'd to 3.12 GHz all the time, ATI 9600 Pro.
