I have an HTC Touch Pro. Prior to this one, I had a Palm Treo 700.
On the plus side, the Touch Pro doesn't lock up like the Palm did. Version 6 of Windows Mobile is far more stable than 5. The screen is simply amazing. The resolution on websites is very, very crisp and clear. The Opera browser beats IE like a rented mule. The tapping/finger scrolling to navigate sites works well. Sound quality is awesome. The TouchFlo interface is pretty cool, too. The camera's quality beats any other camera phone I've seen. The downside is sometimes it's very slow to change screens. There are easy hacks online to make this better. The screen doesn't tilt, which is one thing that the Pro2 does that I wouldn't mind. And it uses Windows...there are times with any Windows product where I want to go to Bill Gates' house and kick him in the 'nads repeatedly. Battery life is pretty brutal and this has been a common complaint about the phone. Make sure you buy a 12v cord to go with it. My earpiece speaker stopped working. I can use speakerphone and the headset. This isn't a flaw that I've found with other users, so I'll have to just go get this fixed. I would highly recommend a screen protector film. It's pretty durable, but it is your main interface. Might as well try to keep it clean. When it comes right down to it, I'd go test each one out. See which one fits your hands better and if the tilt screen is worth the extra money. All in all, I recommend the HTC Touch Pro. Just don't be surprised by the battery life or Windows' usual annoyances.

Thanks RobD and desertcamper. One thing about the Touch Pro 2 is that I've heard, and this is only rumor right now, but with it you can get a free upgrade to Windows 6.5 when it comes out. I don't know if its true or not but it would be kinda nice
. I plan on getting the Touch Pro, testing it for a week or two, then getting the Touch Pro 2 and doing the same. Then I'll decide which I would rather have. Thanks for the input guys

I got the touch pro at the first of the summer and have enjoyed it. The battery life is horrible, so You have to charge it at least every night (depending on how much you use it) and it can be slow to react allot of the time, but not enouph to be annoying I find. Anouther this that you probably don't have a problem with is that it doesn't play nice with a mac, So if you have a mac and don't have boot camp installed it might be annoying.
Overal I'm quite happy with it thought.

So I had a big list typed out on here about my likes and dislikes with each phone. I had the Pro2 all done and was working on the likes of the Pro1. It was a lot harder to think of those than the Pro2. And most of the dislikes of the Pro2 only had to do with it being basically the same as the Pro1. So it looks like if Best Buy offers the Pro2 for $250 or less, that's what I'll be getting
