netzero high speed

Anyone heard/read anything about this? Supposedly they compress server side code/images before transferring, making load times faster. Downside is that downloading and FTPing is NOT accelerated.

Broadband isn't offered where I live and I'm dreading going back to dial up.

Sure broadband is offered in your area. Satellite based internet. There could be some high ping rates in gaming, but it would be a whole lot better than dial-up.

True, sat Internet is available, but it's a FORTUNE, and I'm not putting another freakin dish on my house. So while it may technically be available, it's not an option.

So, netzero high speed... anyone?

damn were are you at were your not getting any kind of broud band. we are 20 miles from any city but can still get cable broudband. same with the summer place outside of yosimite.. Acually since dsl has gotten so popular the dial up bandwidth has been relieved to the point it is acaully usable. I'd still hate to set up a new computer on dial up becuase of the almost 1 gb in patches and driver updates I had to do with this computer but for general intenet. Netzero is a very reliable conection. My grandpa has it. I just can't convince him to get dsl. he's payin 20 bucks for internet and 40 bucks for a second phone line and cable broadband is 35 bucks. whatever

Have you priced ISDN? I personally think that all their "High Speed" stuff is BS. Its just one more reason to get their software on your comp
