My computer is as loud as my yota's 3.0

I have a "loaner" computer from my brother he works at a ISP and builds computers etc.. Well mine is one of his coworkers creations, its pretty retarded is like a riced out desktop. Anyhow its clicking and nocking and just sounds terrible. It reminds me of my 3.0 when I start it in the winter... that 1700rpm tickatickatickaticka funny stuff. Any ideas on what could cause this?

the bomb your brother placed inside....LOL. Probably the fan at the Back getting ready to die or the fan on the heat sink (ie contacting the heat sink on the chip)

Symptoms sound like a hard drive issue...

Open the case and listen which part it's making the noise from. Here's some options.
1. Fan
2. CD/DVD-Rom or burner
3. Hard drive

Once, i dropped my external HD on the floor. And it started to make this noise plus it didn't work anymore. Somehow i manage to get all my songs out from it though. Over 6,000 of them. *whew*

Ethier the harddrive is about to fail or it could just be the heatsink. On my desktop I have a Thermaltake Volcano 12 and I can hear it downstairs.
