Monitor display area expands during warm-up...trouble?

When my Sony Trinitron blew late last year, I replaced it with a ViewSonic P225f .

From Day 1 it's had a little quirk that hasn't been too annoying until I started bumping to higher resolutions for photo editing. At boot the display area is about 2-3mm smaller all around than optimum. After a half-hour, it expands to proper size. The higher the res, the more noticeable the initial "shrinkage". Adjusting to correct size at boot will result in overscan after warm-up.

Do you think something is wrong with this CRT? It's under warranty, so a swap should be OK, but ViewSonic warranty says they may replace it with a reconditioned unit instead of new. So if it's no biggie or sign of impending failure, I'd just as soon keep this one and accept it. Thoughts? TIA...

Edit: Monitor and video card drivers are current.

I've noticed this type of thing on many computers. Sometimes at boot its much bigger than when in the OS. I don't think its a problem, but I'd look for other opinions as well.

I dont think its a problem either, my last two CRT monitors have done the exact same thing, and one is 3 years old still working great....I think they just need sometime to warm up....but you can always call viewsonic to verify that...
