itunes, MP3 information

right now, i use Real Jukebox 2 Plus for my mp3 management on my computer.

all the MP3 files are on my computer, and Real Jukebox knows the song name, album name, artist name, track #, genre and all that info.

all the files are stored on my computer under My Music > Collection > genre > artist > album > XX - songname (where XX is the track number).

so real jukebox knows all the song info. if it's wrong, or i need to change some information, like genre type, i just change it on real jukebox.

now that i've download iTunes, i had it import my music folder, but the information isn't all there. for about half the songs it gets the correct track name, number, artist name, album name and genre.

but for half my songs, it only lists the track name (which is the same as the file name on my computer (as in "01 - Far Behind") and that's it. no album, no genre, no other information.

why is this? how can i make it so itunes will import all the songs and retain the same song information as real jukebox? i hope there's a way to do this. with over 2000 songs incorrectly labeled on itunes, it'd take forever to manually type in all the information.

What version of itunes do you have? You can check apple.com>downloads for the latest updates.
