html/frame help

hello.
i am trying to design a site and want to include frames. how can i move the frame to the center of the webpage.

hopefully that made sense..

Assuming you're using two frames (top and bottom or right and left), you should have 3 files. One for the frameset, one for the top/right frame, and one for teh bottom/left frame. You need to work with the frameset page. There are several properties you can set for the frames, including size, scrollbars, user adjustable, margins etc. You'll want to do something like this:

ok. so i set up an iframe, and i am trying to change the color of the scroll bars. i have the code to do so, but cant figure out where to put it. everything i try doesnt work...

html rubs me the wrong way sometimes.

good future reference on how to make windowns open up like you want.

for changing the scrollbar colors, use CSS in the head of the iframe page.

yeah. i knew that code. i just couldnt figure out where to put it. i eventually worked things out and got things to how i want it.

and thanks calrockx about that code. i just figured it out, hense why i deleted that other post.

its fairly lame, but, free isnt bad.

ugggh....frames! i haven't seen a website that has used frames that looked good. in fact, back in my days of website design and mgt (this is in 98-00), the concensus even back then was "frames are soooo early 90s!"

but sorry, i know that doesnt answer your question

imho, youre better off using layers to create a cool navigation bar than frames. there are a bunch of great websites that will give you the code and allow you to modify it to customize your side.

google "layer scripts" and "free javascripts"

he was talking about "iframes", not frames.

thats what that is called... its an IMBEDDED frame. those are not only useful space-wise, but they look great too!

i used an iframe instead of normal frames.

i find it looks better.

as for the website, i dont know why it didnt load for you calrockx, i can view it?

and again, i did already find the answers to what i was looking for so thanks again guys.
