How to tell mother board model?

Is there anywhere on win XP that it shows the model of the MB?

I'm trying to help my daughter (who is in another city)

It boots past the info screen too fast to see, and the pause/break button does not work.

I want to upgrade her memory, but don't know what kind to get.

Machine is 1 yr old, and has Athalon 64 3500+...only 1/2 gig mem

Dave, there is a free app out, but I forget the name of it.
When you install it, it tells you everything about your PC right down to the motherboard and what kind of Ram it is running.

Maybe PC Wizard?
Ahh, that is it, I have ran it in the past.

Cool, I needed an updated copy anyway, as I have not ran it for a few years.
I will download this and install it to play around with it.

Glad this will work out for your daughter.

It's more than likely DDR2 memory. They started putting that in everything starting a couple years ago.

The crucial memory is what I like

It is DDR2. 4 Gig is cheap on their web site.
