lol, what are you running?
my laptop can run it decently, and it's lacking badly in the graphics department
I run it with EVERYTHING maxed out on my desktop, because well, it can handle it That's why those screen caps look like they do those are scaled down too; I run at 1680x1050, and the clarity is just as good at full size

an inevitable part of Eve is getting you ship blown into pieces in space when you do, the game provides you with this little thing called a capsule, more commonly referred to as just a "pod", that gives you some chance of escaping with your life and getting back to a station to get a new ship
good times...
now time to start a fleet and go hunt down that moron that KO'ed my ship, along with all his friends...

When you've been playing EVE for awhile, you get to fly ships like this (click for huge, resizing was ruining image fidelity):
This is one of the smaller capital ships, known as a carrier. Specifically this one is a Thanatos-class carrier, and kinda has some sort of wannabe Millenium Falcon vibe going on (it's big sister, the Nyx-class supercarrier looks a lot like a green Millenium Falcon).
To give you an idea as to it's size (use the station background for establishing scale), here's a cruiser-size vessel from the same zoom level:
Up close:
This is a Lachesis-class Tech 2 combat recon ship, it is one of two Tech 2 variants of the Tech 1 Celestis cruiser. Tech 2 ships are generally more focused into specific roles and require many more skills to pilot (as well as requiring a lot more ISK to buy), but they are fun. This little guy is great at what is known as "tackling" which is basically using certain ship modules to disrupt the ability of someone to flee, like making it so they can't warp away from you while you unleash unholy fury in the form of your gang of friends because your T2 special snowflake can't fit guns (this is bad when someone shoots at you for tackling them, which is generally what someone does when you tackle them).
EVE is nothing if it's not about SCALE and the sheer difference between things can be ridiculous.
Here's a T1 frigate known as an Incursus, same zoom level as before, can you see it?
Oh hey, this thing has TEETH (and oddly enough, the ability to blow up most larger subcapital ships):
Plenty of things make even my carrier seem tiny though, for example, undocking at your standard-sized station...
Oh hey, there's an Iteron here. What are you doing all the way out here in 0.0? Little buddy, it's definitely not safe out here for you.
Of course, what good does some picture of some part of the station do if I don't take a picture of the station and not just the... orifice you undock out of.

Random screenshot from Deus Ex GOTY.
Apparently the screenshot button on Steam is the same button that runs the flashlight in Deus Ex, so this is just a random in-game pic of some dark hallway that needed light.
