Firefox slow!!

Okay, I don't get it. Firefox is loading images and websites VERY slow. Its annoying. I've deleted the cache, completely. Still no difference.

Internet Explorer works perfect.

What the hells going on?

How many extensions and themes do you have installed? Have you done a spyware check recently? Most likely it is because of other things on top of firefox.

I had to switch my dad's computer to Firefox because the IE had gone all buggy and would'nt load properly even after a re-install... techies said that most likely the IE had caught a virus or something [despite norton, ccleaner, adaware et al] the firefox is a much slower at loading and accessing websites, it also does'nt seem to have the "multiple window" tab capability of IE either...

Firefox invented tabbed browsing (well, they had it well before IE7). If both browsers are buggy, chances are your system has been compromised by something. Try running a free online AVG scan and Spybot Search and Destroy.

Ok, I figured it out guys.

Yes, I am running the WebDeveloper add on, and apparently, it disabled firefox from even using a cache. So, It was loading everything from the net... Yotatech runs really slow when that happens. So I am using my 50 mb cache, and everything is back to normal.

I prefer Firefox for several reasons. Obviously the add-ons are pretty great. I run several programs w/in firefox... it also seems to load faster. I wish they had a 64 bit version of it, but, that should come out soon hopefully.
