FireFox glitch

I don't know what I did recently, but I'm noticing when I'm using FireFox and I click anywhere inside the browser, it automatically goes to a text line cursor... like if you were using a word processor or something like that... and the cursor only scrolls one line at a time most of the time. Some times it'll scroll erratically. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling it.

I originally thought the problem might have been with the Adobe Reader plugin, so I uninstalled Adobe. That didn't help any. Anybody else have this problem or know how to resolve it?

I have not had that particular problem with the cursor. In options you should be able to change how many lines it scrolls. But i have still noticed that the scrolling can be a little weird.

Not to hijack here, but in firefox i have noticed that when i open the program it takes like 5-10 seconds to open. IE is pretty much instantly. Anyone else have this problem? It is annoying enough that i just use IE most of the time still. Updating FF did not help.

I've been using firefox for a few months as a comparison browser to safari rss and am a bit dissapointed. Yes it does take a good 15 to 20 seconds to load while safari is constant at 4 and ie at 4 to 6. Searches on firefox are just as quick as safari or ie, but opening additional windows are consistently slow, even to the point of timing out on firefox, were as safari and ie are quick and responsive. There are intermittent cursor problems and loss of scrolling capabilitys with multiple open windows quite frequently. I do like the look and feel of foxfire but am generally disapointed, hopefully they will keep working on it.
