Counter-Strike 1.6 Server

I set up a Counter-Strike 1.6 dedicated server on one of my servers this morning if anyone is interested.

I currently have the game limited to 8 players until I know if I have enough bandwidth for more. I can also change the game to TFC, DoD, Half-Life, Deathmatch classic, Ricochet or Condition Zero.

The server address is qserve.sytes.net, default port (27015).

(I will be in there mostly in the evening/night MST)

I am an avid TFC player, but cs is a much easier game to learn how to play. With tfc there are skills needed to even join a server without getting laughed at...that is the downside of the tfc community. But if anyone is interested, I would be glad to teach basic skills!

I can not find the server.
http://www.pnw4runners.com/temp2/cs_server.jpg

I entered the info and tried to add it to my faves, and it will not go.
That other server in there by the way is a kick ass WA. state server with low ping all the time.

Could it be I have 1.6 Counter Strike Source from Half Life 2 that it will not add?

Yes sir, what you are runnning right there is CS:S (Counter-Strike: Souce) which. CS 1.6 is run off steam, but it is with the engine from the original hl. You should be able to download it, in your "Play Games" section in Steam, right click counter strike (non-source version) and click "Install Game."

Currently I just have about 1.5mb down and ~256kbps up. I know that isn't really much, I've only really hosted games within my area.

Go here and click on servers if you wish to see the machine specs (not much to see anymore because I am sort of in the process of re-doing the page).

Not an option on my end.

CS is not in the list to install.

I did install the Gordon game from that shortly after installing HL2.

Hmm, that does look quite different. I'm not familiar with steam really so hopefully someone can help you out.
